The Van Diest Medical Center Foundation was founded in 1996 to assist in extending the mission of Van Diest Medical Center "to enhance the lives of people in our community by providing exceptional, patient-centered healthcare."

It is guided by a board of directors, comprised of individuals who live and work in Hamilton County. The Foundation board oversees the activities and distribution of funds received by the Foundation. Monetary gifts are used to purchase vital equipment, start up new services and contribute toward other projects as requested by the hospital. Every gift strengthens Van Diest Medical Center's service to the community and is gratefully acknowledged.

Planned gifts, or deferred gifts, are another way to support the Foundation. This is when a donor plans a specific gift today, which will be delivered some time in the future. Examples include gifts through a will, gift annuities, charitable trusts and gifts through life insurance. A planned gift is one which is carefully considered by a donor in light of his or her estate and financial planning goals and objectives.

It's also important to know that the Foundation respects donor confidentiality. Actual donation amounts are not revealed and gifts can be made anonymously.

The Van Diest Medical Center Foundation is a nonprofit organization that accepts donations to support the health care mission of the hospital. Your tax-deductible gift will help us continue our tradition of excellence in providing quality health care.
